It is very unfortunate that now Israeli newspapers and media are informing us about the possible deployment of the Pakistan Army in Gaza as part of an International Stabilization Force.
Where is ISPR (the Pakistan Army’s media wing)?
Where is Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs?
As a concerned citizen of Pakistan, I demand clear answers from the Government of Pakistan to the following questions:
1. Is it true that the Pakistan Army is being deployed in Gaza under an American plan?
2. Is it also true, as claimed by the U.S. Secretary of State, that Israel is “comfortable” with this deployment?
3. Is it true that Israel opposed the deployment of Turkish forces in Gaza, claiming that Turkey has a soft corner for Hamas?
4. Is it true that in the second phase, this International Stabilization Force will be responsible for disarming Hamas?
5. If Pakistan’s forces are deployed in Gaza, will they have to coordinate or stay in contact with Israeli forces?
6. What will be the exact mandate and operational scope of this so-called International Stabilization Force, of which Pakistan is reportedly a part?
7. Will there be an open debate in Parliament about this deployment? Will Parliament’s approval be sought before any decision is made?
Remember — tricks like those used during the Shama Junejo affair will not work, nor will submissive flattery of leaders like Trump.
All facts must be presented openly before the nation.
Palestine belongs entirely to the Palestinians, and Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) is its rightful capital.
