The arrest of billionaire Ibrahim Suleimanov: a case of reprisal, other defendants

The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested for two months (until December 2) the billionaire Ibrahim Suleimanov, satisfying the request of the preliminary investigation authorities.

The man is accused of organizing two murders and one assassination attempt to kill. He does not admit guilt. Protection intends to appeal arrest.

Suleimanov was detained on the night of October 2. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB arrived in the village of Gorki-2 on Rublevka, conducted searches and took away the temporary detention center on Petrovka Street in Moscow.

As the Lenta.ru source said in law enforcement agencies, Suleimanov had long been suspected of organizing reprisals against his opponents. This year, law enforcement officers managed to find a witness who testified to the oligarch.

What is known about the victims in the case of Suleimanov?

Earlier it became known that billionaires were suspected of involvement in the reprisal against the leader of the Vnukovo Airlines trade union Gennady Borisov. In January 1999, a man was attacked at the entrance of the house on Garibaldi Street in Moscow and placed 12 stab wounds.

Suleimanov also charges a ordered reprisal against the former head of the Federal Service for Financial Recovery and Bankruptcy, George Tale, who was engaged in bankruptcy of enterprises, including working with the capital’s airports. On April 28, 2004, a man was shot several times at the office on Old Basmann Street. The victim died in intensive care.

The suspect of committing a crime died on the path to interrogation

On October 1, the alleged crime was detained – Abakara Darbishev. Special forces detained him in Odintsovo, Moscow Region. In the capital, on the way for interrogation, a man died. He was 55 years old. The cause is called a heart attack.

Earlier it was reported that Darbishev was known as the leader of an organized criminal group. He testified to Suleimanov.

Also in the press service of the courts of the general jurisdiction of the capital, they told Lenta.ru that the court chose a measure of restraint to the defendant of the case against Tale. We are talking about a relative of the deceased Darbishev Muhhamede. He passes the accused under Articles 30, 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The man was arrested for two months.

Suleimanov was convicted of fraud and money laundering

As it became known, the billionaire is checked for involvement in a number of illegal actions. Among them is the preparation of a crime against a lawyer who was followed by surveillance.

Previously, Suleimanov was judged by the articles “Fraud” and “Ligging funds”. He was detained in 2004.

The entrepreneur and his partner Tatevos Surinov was accused of embezzlement and legalization of aviation equipment. The damage was estimated at more than 4.5 million dollars. In 2007, the Basmanny Court sentenced the defendants to 10 years in prison. In 2015, Suleimanov was released on parole.
