New Delhi:
The Congress Party has once again accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government of stealing votes. In a message posted on its official Twitter (X) account, the party said that “the Modi government has stolen the people’s mandate and damaged democracy.”
According to Congress, there are growing doubts about the fairness of the recent elections, and the party claims there were serious irregularities in the voting process. Congress has urged the Election Commission to conduct an independent investigation so that public trust can be restored.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), however, has rejected these accusations. A BJP spokesperson said, “Congress cannot accept its defeat, so it is trying to question the Election Commission and other democratic institutions.”
Political analysts say these allegations might be an attempt to heat up the political atmosphere before the upcoming state elections.
It’s worth noting that Congress has raised similar concerns in the past about the transparency of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and the overall election process.
