  • Ethiopia’s Helly Gubi Volcano Erupts After 12,000 Years — Ash Clouds Reach Near Gwadar at 45,000 FeetEthiopia’s Helly Gubi Volcano Erupts After 12,000 Years — Ash Clouds Reach Near Gwadar at 45,000 Feet
Helly Gubi Volcano Erupts After Twelve Thousand Years The Helly Gubi volcano in Ethiopia has erupted after nearly 12,000 years of silence, sending shockwaves through the region. The massive eruption has released huge clouds of volcanic ash that have travelled from East Africa and reached close to Gwadar, Pakistan’s coastal belt. Ash Clouds Detected at 45,000 Feet International weather models and aviation tracking systems have reported that the volcanic ash is floating at an altitude of 45,000 feet—much higher than typical volcanic ash clouds. Due to strong upper-level winds, the ash has moved eastward, coming near Pakistan’s airspace. Impact on Pakistan’s Weather and Air Traffic According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD): There is no threat to people on the ground. The ash is only present in high-altitude air, near Gwadar, Jiwani and Pasni. Aviation authorities have issued alerts to airlines so flight routes can be adjusted if needed. Experts Call the Eruption “Unusually Strong” Scientists say that volcanic ash reaching 45,000 feet is rare and indicates a highly powerful eruption. Helly Gubi’s sudden activity after thousands of years suggests strong pressure buildup inside the volcano. Could Pakistan Be Affected? Weather experts explain: No harmful effects are expected on air quality or daily life. Only high-altitude flights may face caution, as volcanic ash can damage jet engines. No major weather change is expected in coastal areas for now. Next 48 Hours Are Important Global volcano-monitoring centers say the next two days will be crucial. If more eruptions occur, the ash clouds could increase or change direction. • Ultra-Processed Foods: The Hidden Threat Weakening Your Legs — Even If You’re Not Gaining WeightUltra-Processed Foods: The Hidden Threat Weakening Your Legs — Even If You’re Not Gaining Weight
A new wave of scientific evidence has uncovered a silent but alarming effect of ultra-processed foods (UPFs)—the kind found in sweet snacks, packaged meals, and fast-food chains. While these foods are already notorious for triggering weight gain and metabolic issues, the latest findings reveal a deeper danger: they may be quietly weakening the very muscles that protect your knees. Recent research has shown that UPFs increase intramuscular fat—a type of fat that infiltrates and spreads inside your thigh muscles. What makes this discovery more concerning is that this buildup was observed even in people who were not overweight, and even in those who exercised regularly. What the Study Found Researchers analyzed MRI scans of 666 adults, studying the composition of their thigh muscles. Individuals with a higher intake of ultra-processed foods had significantly more fat inside their muscles, regardless of their daily calorie intake or physical activity levels. In other words, even if you “eat less” or go for daily walks, a diet rich in processed foods can still change how your muscles function internally. This intramuscular fat gradually replaces healthy muscle fibers, reducing strength, stability, and shock absorption capacity. As a result, the legs—especially the quadriceps—become less effective at supporting and protecting the knees. Why This Matters for Your Knees The thigh muscles are the primary support system for the knee joint. When these muscles weaken, the knees take on more stress with every step, jump, or even simple daily movement. Over time, this extra strain accelerates the wear and tear of joint cartilage, increasing the risk of knee pain, mobility problems, and early osteoarthritis. Experts point to the high sugar content, harmful fats, and chemical additives in UPFs as the triggers. These ingredients promote inflammation, disrupt metabolic processes, and increase insulin resistance, all of which contribute to fat accumulation inside muscle tissues. The Good News The damage isn’t irreversible. Studies suggest that improving your diet—reducing ultra-processed foods and eating more whole, fresh meals—can lower intramuscular fat and help your muscles regain strength. While joint damage cannot be completely reversed, better nutrition and lifestyle choices can significantly slow progression and reduce pain. Bottom Line Cut the processed foods. Strengthen your muscles. Protect your knees. [...] Read more
  • Governments around the world collectively owe 111.1 trillion dollars in debtGovernments around the world collectively owe 111.1 trillion dollars in debt
The United States is the most indebted country in the world—and in world history. The U.S. government currently owes 38 trillion dollars, which is 125% of its annual GDP. The second most indebted country is China, whose government owes 18.7 trillion dollars, equal to 96% of China’s annual GDP. However, despite these large numbers, the economies of both countries face no major risk because most of their debt is borrowed from their own banks and citizens, not from foreign lenders. Japan’s debt, when measured in dollars, is smaller than that of the U.S. and China. But when compared to the size of its economy, Japan is the most heavily indebted country in the world. Japan’s total debt is more than 230% of its annual GDP, over twice the size of its economy. It is important to note that in 1971, when East Pakistan became Bangladesh, the economy of East Pakistan was almost non-existent. Bangladesh had a larger population but a far smaller GDP than Pakistan. Today, Bangladesh’s population is smaller than Pakistan’s, yet its GDP is much larger. This is why the standard of living in Bangladesh is improving rapidly. Bangladesh also has much lower debt compared to Pakistan. [...] Read more
  • Anatoly Novopismennyi: A Lesson in Strength, Skill, and Silent Hard WorkAnatoly Novopismennyi: A Lesson in Strength, Skill, and Silent Hard Work
If you use social media, you’ve probably seen short videos of Anatoly Novopismennyi — the slim-looking Ukrainian powerlifter who surprises huge bodybuilders by lifting their weights with unbelievable ease. The shock on people’s faces comes from one simple thing: Anatoly does not look like the kind of person who can lift such heavy weights. But behind his ordinary appearance lies extraordinary training, technique, and mental focus. Human beings naturally want to impress others. Deep inside, we all wish to achieve something that makes people say, “Wow, how did you do that?” Anatoly’s popularity comes from this very human desire. He shows us that real strength doesn’t always come from big muscles, but from knowledge, discipline, and the right training. If someone suddenly places 150 kilos in front of you, you probably won’t be able to lift it. You may even feel embarrassed. But this doesn’t mean you can’t lift it—your muscles simply aren’t trained for it. Our bodies shape themselves according to our daily routines. When you start practicing, your muscles begin to adapt and prepare for new challenges. This is the basic rule of bodybuilding: challenge the body, and it will grow stronger. Athletes like Anatoly don’t just train their bodies—they train their minds. They know when to breathe in, when to breathe out, how to grip the weight, and at what angle to position their bodies. These small details are invisible to most people, but they make a huge difference. This hidden mastery is what surprises everyone. The same rule applies to life. Champions in any field often look like ordinary people, just like us. But behind their success lies knowledge, skill, and endless practice. We don’t see their “mental muscles,” so when they achieve something great, it looks magical to us. The message is simple: whether it’s weightlifting or life, real strength is built through patience, learning, and consistent effort. Every achievement is backed by silent hard work that no one sees. • Roma Riaz – Representing Pakistan’s Culture at Miss Universe 2025Roma Riaz – Representing Pakistan’s Culture at Miss Universe 2025
Pakistani representative Roma Riaz is proudly showcasing her country’s culture at the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand. Recently, she faced online criticism for wearing a traditional sari, but she responded gracefully, saying that the sari is a shared cultural heritage of South Asia — not limited to any one country. Roma Riaz will represent Pakistan at the Miss Universe global stage on November 21 in Thailand. During a recent pre-event ceremony, she wore a stunning golden sari designed by Kanwal Malik, which quickly went viral on social media. While many admired her elegant look, some questioned her choice of wearing a sari instead of a more “Pakistani” outfit. In response, Roma shared a powerful message on Instagram. She explained that the sari belongs to no single nation — it is part of the shared South Asian heritage that existed long before modern borders. “The land where my ancestors lived is the same where the sari was born,” she wrote. “This outfit is just as Pakistani as shalwar kameez.” Roma further highlighted that the sari has always been a part of Pakistani women’s wardrobe — seen at family weddings, cultural events, and even in classic Pakistani cinema. She said, “I don’t believe in restricting cultural heritage to borders. Fashion and culture flow freely across South Asia.” In her Instagram post, Roma also shared old newspaper clippings from 1969, showing Pakistani women wearing saris proudly. She emphasized that the sari still represents grace, femininity, and dignity for women across the region. When Roma appeared on the red carpet in her dazzling golden sari, she made a bold statement — the sari is a timeless dress that connects tradition and elegance. It existed long before borders and continues to symbolize identity and pride for South Asian women today. In Pakistan, the sari has always been a symbol of sophistication and culture. From poets and artists to iconic film stars of the past, many have embraced it with pride. Roma Riaz is continuing that tradition on the global stage, showing the world that Pakistani women are confident, graceful, and proud of their roots. [...] Read more
  • PAKISTAN CUSTOMS SEIZES 15.2 KG OF CRYSTAL METHAMPHETAMINE WORTH RS. 910 MILLION FROM PASSENGER BUS IN D.I. KHANPAKISTAN CUSTOMS SEIZES 15.2 KG OF CRYSTAL METHAMPHETAMINE WORTH RS. 910 MILLION FROM PASSENGER BUS IN D.I. KHAN
In a major anti-smuggling operation, the Customs Enforcement team, acting on credible information conveyed by the Deputy Collector Customs, D.I. Khan-II, under the directions of the Collector Customs (Enforcement), Peshawar, successfully intercepted a large quantity of foreign-origin narcotics from a passenger bus during a routine vigilance check at IP-JCP Aman Mela. Upon thorough inspection of the suspected Daewoo bus bearing Registration No. CAT-4488, Customs officials recovered foreign-origin narcotics ICE (Crystal Methamphetamine) concealed inside three specially designed inverters placed in the bus. The driver and conductor were arrested on the spot, and an FIR was lodged against them. The recovered narcotics comprised 15 packets of foreign-origin substance resembling ICE (Crystal Methamphetamine), weighing a total of 15,350 grams (net 15,200 grams after sampling). The estimated value of the narcotics is Rs. 910.200 million, while the value of the seized Daewoo bus is Rs. 15.000 million, bringing the total estimated value of the case to Rs. 925.200 million. As the recovered narcotics were being transported from IP-JCP Aman Mela to the State Warehouse, the Customs staff came under attack by unidentified miscreants/terrorists, who opened straight and indiscriminate fire on the customs convoy. The attack appeared to be aimed at harming the customs personnel due to high market value of the seized narcotics. However, the swift and courageous response of the customs team ensured the safety of both personnel and the seized goods. Meanwhile, Pakistan Army troops and police personnel acted swiftly and reached the site of the incident promptly, providing immediate support and security. They safely escorted the Customs staff and the recovered narcotics consignment to the State Warehouse, D.I. Khan, without any loss of life or property. This successful operation demonstrates the continued commitment of FBR against smuggling and narcotics trafficking. • Decades of Allegations, Zero Witnesses: The Untold Truth About Nawaz Sharif vs Imran KhanDecades of Allegations, Zero Witnesses: The Untold Truth About Nawaz Sharif vs Imran Khan
From Omar Ayub, Sheikh Rasheed, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Hamid Nasir Chattha, Pervaiz Elahi, Chaudhry Nisar, Shahid Khaqan, Liaquat Jatoi, Ghaus Ali Shah, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Manzoor Wattoo, Javed Hashmi, Zubair Umar, Zafarullah Jamali — and more than 30 other big names — all left Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N at different times. But ask yourself this: has any one of them ever accused Nawaz Sharif of being corrupt, dishonest, or immoral? Has anyone ever claimed Nawaz Sharif asked for money in exchange for a party ticket, or demanded a cut or commission for signing a file? Has anyone said Nawaz Sharif, Kulsoom Nawaz, Hassan, or Hussain ever took cars, jewelry, or plots as bribes? Not one person who once stood with Nawaz Sharif has ever said he took money from them, lived off them, or used their cars. Even those who left him have never accused him of personal corruption. Now compare that to Imran Khan. Whoever left him — Jahangir Tareen, Aleem Khan, Mohsin Baig, his ex-wife, Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan, Pervez Khattak, Zubaida Jalal, and many others — all exposed his wrongdoings. From kitchen expenses to luxury cars, from party tickets to official posts, even in the name of Shaukat Khanum and party funds — every insider accused Imran Khan of taking money. That’s the difference. The whole world has witnessed it. Since 1993, Nawaz Sharif has faced countless cases and investigations. Even during Musharraf’s regime, every record was examined — yet out of 250 million people, not a single person ever came forward in court to testify that Nawaz Sharif was involved in theft, land grabbing, corruption, or taking commissions. But look at Imran Khan: In just one case, there are 13 witnesses; In the £190 million case, 33 witnesses — 7 of them were his own cabinet ministers; In Toshakhana Case 1, 17 witnesses; In Toshakhana Case 2, 28 witnesses. And let’s not forget Reham Khan’s book — which Imran Khan never challenged in any court for being false. That’s the reality. The world h as seen the difference. [...] Read more

Daily Mirror News A powerful explosion took place near the court in Islamabad’s G-11 sector on Tuesday afternoon at around 12:30 p.m. The sound of the blast was heard from far away. According to police, a suicide bomber riding a motorcycle approached a police vehicle and blew himself up. The explosion caused nearby cars to catch fire, and parts of the bomber’s body were found inside the court premises. Police said three vehicles were damaged — one police car and two private cars. They confirmed that the blast was a suicide attack and found the suspected bomber’s head at the scene. At least 12 people were killed and more than 20 others injured, including some lawyers and visitors. The injured were taken to PIMS Hospital, where an emergency has been declared. Law enforcement agencies have sealed off the area. Police sources said that initial investigations suggest the attack was carried out by “Fitna al-Khawarij,” a group reportedly linked to Indian-sponsored and Afghan Taliban-backed networks. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s Statement Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi told the media that the suicide blast occurred at 12:39 p.m., killing 12 people and injuring 27. He said the bomber tried to enter the court but could not, and stayed near the area for about 10 to 15 minutes before detonating himself when a police vehicle arrived. The minister said the first priority is to identify the attacker and expose those involved in planning the attack. He also mentioned that a similar suicide attack took place in Wana yesterday, where a car bomber exploded at a checkpoint. According to him, Afghanistan was involved in that attack as well, and security forces are continuing clearance operations there. At least 9 deaths and 21 injuries have been confirmed in an explosion outside the district courts in Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad.
