Lahore News: Pakistani cricketer Azam Khan has said that some former players cannot digest Babar Azam’s fame and success.
In an interview, he stated that Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan are attacking captains, while Babar remains calm and composed on the field.
Azam Khan described Babar Azam as Pakistan’s top batter, saying that in the past ten years, Babar has been the only truly talented batsman who earned recognition for Pakistan through his batting.
According to him, Babar didn’t have any legendary players supporting him, yet he rose to prominence and now enjoys stardom comparable to Shaheen Afridi’s.
Azam further claimed that many former cricketers find it difficult to accept Babar’s massive popularity, adding that if social media had existed during their era, they might have been equally famous.
